Freeman Chiu began his career in Melbourne in the late 1990s, where he worked in the CRM and data analytics marketing with NCR with clients in the Telecommunications (Telstra) and Financial (NAB, Westpac) sector before moving into the online marketing space with Cisco and Expedia in Sydney.

In 2009, he decided to move back into the heart of Asia, and went on to work in Taipei (NextMedia), Beijing (DDB) and Shanghai (Wieden+Kennedy, R/GA) at some of the top creative agencies around the world. By late 2016, he spent a few years as a Marketing leader for China’s e-commerce space at a local e-commerce shop Brandlab and founded the hip-hop content label KUASTYLE in Shanghai. Since 2020, he has been with Otter Products where he currently leads as the Asia Pacific Marketing Director for the OtterBox, LifeProof and Roxfit brands, overseeing the marcom and e-commerce efforts.
