As Senior Vice President– Marketing & Ecommerce for SPAR Hypermarkets, Pearlraj has the mandate to guide and direct the Marketing strategy and development of the SPAR Brand in India. He also spearheads the Ecommerce Business and is responsible for the business strategy and development.

Pearlraj has near 24 years of Retail and Consumer experience. His journey with Future Group, Reliance Retail, Carrefour & Algonomy (Manthan) have helped him develop well rounded consumer knowledge and retail domain expertise.

Before heading the Marketing & Ecommerce functions at SPAR Hypermarkets, Pearlraj was Senior Principal – Retail Consulting with Algonomy (Previously Manthan Systems) and was responsible to assist Retail Organizations in India and the APAC region to leverage their data using analytics to improve performance and efficiency. As Marketing Director for Carrefour Wholesale Cash & Carry he was responsible to develop and build the brand. Prior to this, he has held positions in Reliance Retail and Future Group varying from Brand Management, Business Operations and Analytics.

He has graduated from St Xavier’s College, Kolkata with Economics and has an MBA Degree in Marketing from IISWBM Kolkata.
