Lars Svensson is the Head of Inspiration & Communication, Thailand, IKEA Southeast Asia & Mexico. IKEA Southeast Asia & Mexico owns and operates IKEA stores and Shopping Centres in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Mexico and soon Philippines and invest in mixed use real estate.

Lars has worked in regional and local management roles in Southeast Asia since 1992 with mainly IKEA but also EF, Novena Holdings and Oriflame with sustainability, marketing, establishment, business development and sales. Between 1998 and 2002 he was based in native Sweden as MD for Japro Management Consulting and CEO for Internet start-up Global Events Online.

He is currently Advisor Thai Swedish Chamber Of Commerce and has served as Councillor for Southwest CDC in Singapore. Lars Svensson earned a MBA from Stockholm School of Economics with a post graduate scholarship for Malay language studies at National University of Singapore. He is married with two daughters, lives in Bangkok and is passionate about pottering around home – the most important place in the world.
