Mark Wong

Senior Vice President Asia Pacific
Small Luxury Hotels of The World

Mark Wong joined Small Luxury Hotels of the World in his current role as Senior Vice President Asia Pacific since May 2016. Wong is responsible for SLH’s strategic direction across operations, hotel development, sales, marketing and distribution for the region. Prior to this, Wong enjoyed a successful two-year stint as SLH’s Area Director Asia Pacific in 2009 before moving to NEXT Hotels where he was responsible for the group’s hotel marketing and loyalty programmes.
Wong has over 25 years’ experience in the hospitality industry working for Preferred Hotels and Hyatt Hotels; and in the marketing industry for American Express, Foote, Cone & Belding and CPR Vision in senior positions, both at home in Singapore and internationally in New York, Chicago and Hong Kong. Additionally, he is an advisor to Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) Singapore Chapter and a member of Mekong Tourism Advisory Group (MeTAG).
Outside of work, Wong enjoys checking out the food & beverage scene and is an amateur home chef who likes nothing better than hosting dinner parties for his friends and family.
