Michael Tan is a seasoned coffee expert, educator, and industry leader with extensive experience in coffee brewing, education, and consultancy. Based in Kuala Lumpur, his journey has led him to judge prestigious competitions, including serving as head judge for the Philippines AeroPress Coffee Brewing Championship.

His achievements include organising record-breaking events, such as the Guinness World Record for the largest culinary competition and the Malaysia Book of Records for the largest coffee festival. He has also contributed to coffee research at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM).

Beyond academia, Michael co-hosts international latte art competitions and serves as an emcee for major coffee championships across Southeast Asia. Recognised for his ability to simplify complex concepts, he is a sought-after consultant and mentor. Through collaborations and industry contributions, he continues to foster a thriving coffee community, inspiring professionals and enthusiasts alike.”
