Carl Wong heads up the media and corporate communications function across 10 markets in Asia for Manulife Investment Management, the wealth and asset management segment of Manulife Financial Corporation.  Based in Hong Kong, Carl looks after the wealth and asset manager’s corporate reputation in Asia, and leads the firm’s publicity, thought leadership and social media programs across the region.

With more than two decades of experience across both agency and corporate worlds, Carl’s expertise spans from corporate positioning, issue and crisis management, branding, media relations, content development, to social media management.  Before joining Manulife in 2016, Carl was Associate Director of Corporate Communications at Sun Hung Kai Properties, specialized in developing and executing on an end-to-end reputation management program for the firm.  Prior to that, he was with Ketchum and Fleishman-Hillard, both Omnicom agencies, over his 16-year consultancy career.
