​Siew Wai has over 18 years of combined experiences & accomplishments in the ICT and e-commerce industry. He is currently the Country Head (Malaysia) at Carousell, one of the world’s largest & fastest growing classifieds marketplace.

Prior to joining Carousell, Siew Wai was Regional Marketing Director at Huawei, overseeing 7 countries in the South Pacific Region for the telecommunications company. Subsequently, he joined luxury e-commerce platform, Reebonz, where he was Country Head for Malaysia and the Middle East markets. Siew Wai would also go on to launch his own startup, ModeFair, a social e-commerce platform that connects brands with influencers, before starting the local office for Carousell in Malaysia.

Bringing a wealth of experience to the table, Siew Wai spearheads Carousell’s business growth and development in Malaysia, with a focus on building strategic partnerships, driving revenue and developing meaningful communities of buyers and sellers. Since taking the helm, he has increased Carousell’s app downloads to more than seven million with over 32 million user listings in the Malaysian market putting it in the Top10 of both Apple App Store and Google Play.
