Hailing from Germany, Tina has gained in-depth strategic commercial acumen during her more than 10 years working in the hospitality field in the Maldives, where she honed her skills in marketing, public relations and communications, in addition to branding and e-commerce. In a highly competitive market, she worked for 5-star boutique properties, spa brands, and internationally branded luxury island resorts, such as Jumeirah Hotels and Resorts. Tina joined The Datai Langkawi in 2020, being drawn to the iconic resort and its efforts in conservation and sustainability in the framework of The Datai Pledge, and moved on to her role for Datai Hotels and Resorts in 2023, where she now focuses on the brand’s expansion. Tina holds a Master’s degree from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Germany.
