Fikri started his career in media industry in 2008 and joined the worldwide PR agency, Ogilvy Public Relations in 2012. As client service, he developed creative strategies for many of the world’s most respected companies in Indonesia namely Unilever, Disney, Hong Kong Tourism Board, Google, Twitter, AkzoNobel, Mead Johnson, Intercontinental Hotel Group, and more.

In 2016, he joined L’Oréal Indonesia as Brand Communications Manager, and in early 2017 he has been promoted to be Communications, CSR, and Sustainability Manager. In 2018 he was given as special role as Communication Manager of Consumer Product Division, the biggest division within the L’Oréal group, handling our leading brands namely L’Oréal Paris, Maybelline and Garnier to lead several brand causes initiatives and to launch sustainability actions under those three big brands.

During his career, he became a project leader to help Garnier Indonesia’s end-to-end transformation through Garnier Green Beauty’s commitment, one of the main projects was launching an recycling application (eRecycle), making Garnier the first beauty brand in Indonesia to provide offline and online post-consumer waste management in Indonesia. Fikri also assisted Garnier in the negotiation process to obtain official endorsement from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia and its business stakeholders.

In addition to sustainability, community empowerment programs are also the focus of his role. Together with Hollaback! and National Commission on Violence Against Women, Fikri helped launch the L’Oréal Paris STANDUP training program using the 5D method, a training program designed to help prevent street harassment and build safe inclusive spaces.

Considering the increasing importance of environmental and community issues for L’Oréal Indonesia, earlier in 2021 he has been appointed as Director of Corporate Responsibility to lead sustainability commitments with science-based targets covering six main topics, namely climate, water, biodiversity, resources, community empowerment, and finance.
