Melanie Masriel is a reputation management expert with 20 years of professional experience in the areas of Corporate and Brand Communications, Digital Communications, Employer Branding, Regulatory and Public Affairs, Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainability, and Crisis Management.

Currently a member of the Management Committee of L’Oréal Indonesia as Communications, Public Affairs & Sustainability Director, Melanie has spent 11 years with the company with a mission of shaping corporate reputation as an admired beauty company in Indonesia. In addition, she also serves as the Ethics Correspondent and Diversity Champion of the company.

Before joining L’Oréal, Melanie served multinational companies from various contrasting sectors including Petrosea, British American Tobacco, and Ernst & Young after receiving her Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Marketing from Curtin University of Technology, Perth, West Australia. She spoke in various Communication, Sustainability and Women Empowerment Forums and Summits, and became guest lecturer in several reputable Universities on similar topics.

Melanie has developed strong passion in the fields of women empowerment and sustainability, which have been nurtured, particularly throughout her tenure with the leading beauty company. Since 2018, she has been appointed as a member of the Leadership Council of The Nature Conservancy, a leading international NGO in nature conservation, who gathers leaders around the nation to join forces in addressing challenges in preserving the nature of Indonesia.

Melanie is the recipient of the individual recognitions of several leading awards. Melanie has two children, is passionate about music, cycling, cooking, exotic plants and also enjoys traveling to places where she can appreciate mother nature.
