Derrick Chan began his foray into the healthcare industry a decade ago, rising through the ranks to take on dynamic roles such as CEO and Managing Director within various medical conglomerates in the region. His ties to Sunway Healthcare Group were cemented in early 2020, with his appointment as CEO for the Malaysian Southern Region & Singapore and Group Director for Business Development and Corporate Communications. In November 2020, he expanded his portfolio to become the CEO of Sunway Medical Centre Velocity (KL), a position that he holds to this day.

As a leader and a big believer in digital transformation, Derrick believes that leveraging on digital solutions to supplement the patient’s journey is an essential element in keeping up with the evolving healthcare industry. Along with his patient-centric mindset, he is driven to continue providing accessible and affordable healthcare services to the public whilst ensuring that the patient needs and concerns come first as a priority.
