Vijay has over 30 years’ experience in industry and investment banking across Asia, Australia, UK and the Americas. Currently he is the CEO of the 4Fingers Group. He is also a non–independent, non-executive director of Taliworks Berhad (“TCB”) a Malaysian public listed corporation and TEI Sdn Bhd a joint venture company between Taliworks and the Employees Provident Fund of Malaysia (“EPF”).

Previous directorships include:
• International Medical University, Malaysia’s premier private medical college (independent, non-executive chairman);
• Malakoff Berhad, Malaysia’s largest independent power producer;
• Cerahsama, a prominent tollroad in Kuala Lumpur;
• Don Muang Tollway, a prominent tollroad in Bangkok; and
• Infraco Asia, a UK Government funded initiative to promote private investment in infrastructure in the lesser developed emerging markets in South and South East Asia.

Prior to that, in chronological order, he was the founding CEO of CIMB Standard Strategic Asset Advisers or “CSSAA”, an emerging markets focused infrastructure fund manager which grew from zero to USD500m funds under management during his tenure. He was then an executive director & head of project and structured finance for Asia for ANZ Investment Bank (“ANZ”) based in Singapore.

Prior to rejoining ANZ in Singapore, he was vice president and head of mergers & acquisitions for Enron Asia Pacific also based in Singapore.

He was with ANZ for 8 years in Melbourne, London and New York, focusing on infrastructure and resource project financing.

The earlier part of his career was spent as an auditor with KPMG in New Zealand and Exxon in Malaysia as well as, just after graduation, a lecturer in a Malaysian college offering the UK accountancy qualifications.

During his tenure at ANZ, the teams led by him won over 25 Deal of the Year awards for innovative project financing solutions to complex financings in difficult markets.

Vijay has an MBA from Auckland University and is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants UK, an Associate Member of the Australia and New Zealand Society of Chartered Accountants as well as a graduate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK.
