Prerna Suri is Vice President of Communications for Asia and the Middle East at Sony Music Entertainment, where she crafts and champions the stories of some of the region’s most exciting musical talent and leads corporate communications for Sony Music in Asia.

Her career has spanned continents and perspectives—from documenting the Syrian refugee crisis and Darfur conflict as a documentary filmmaker and TV presenter to serving as a foreign correspondent with Al Jazeera English and NDTV, and later steering communications and PR at Meta and Cisco—giving her a unique lens on how culture, and storytelling can connect people across borders.

A passionate advocate for creativity with purpose, Prerna leads the Sony Global Social Justice Fund’s efforts in Asia and the Middle East, having spearheaded initiatives that use music as a platform for gender equality and supported charities focused on women’s empowerment issues in the region.

She holds several key professional and advisory roles. She is a member of the Asian Forum of Global Governance, is a pro-bono advisory member of the Bhutan Media Foundation, and a committee member of The London School of Economics Alumni Committee. In addition, she serves as a jury member for both The Drum Awards Festival and the World Federation of Advertising (WFA) Awards. As a thought leader, she contributes to TigerHall and has been a featured speaker at various platforms, including TEDx.
